BASSIST

Bands over the years

GOOD TIMES

I really enjoyed my time playing bass in all these bands. My real passion is “The Blues” but have played in Cover bands, a Country Band and in bands with Original songs.

  • ALEHOUSE BLUES

In 2014 I hooked up again with Richard Butcher (Butchers Block) and started playing bass with some good musicians down at the Ale House in Chelmsford.

  • BEN WILLIAMS

I played bass on a song written by Ben Williams which featured Brian “Robbo” Robertson (Thin Lizzy) on lead guitar and Bill Legend (T-rex) on drums.

  • BLACKFOX

Back in the 80’s I played bass in a band called BLACKFOX – we recorded several songs in the studio.

  • BUTCHERS BLOCK

During the late 1970’s I played bass with the “Butchers Block” Blues Band in pubs throughout the Essex area.

  • GOSPEL MUSIC

Since becoming a Christian, I have played bass in numerous church bands over the years.

  • GUS 7

This was a school band formed at what was then called “Great Baddow Comprehensive School”, Chelmsford back in the 1970’s.

  • JACKSON QUEEN

I played bass with this band for a couple of years touring around Country Clubs in Essex, Suffolk and the West Country.

  • JULIE COOPER BAND

I played Bass with this covers band during the 80’s, which included a trip to Bern, Switzerland.

  • MY BASSES

A couple of short videos of me tinkering on my Yamaha BB5000 and Rickenbacker basses.

  • OLIVER SOUTHGATE BAND

I had an enjoyable time between 2010 – 2012, playing Bass with the Oliver Southgate Band.

  • STEVE HARLEY

I had the privilege of playing bass with Steve Harley (Cockney Rebel) at a gig in the “Ship and Star” Sudbury back in the 90’s.

  • STUDIO 5

I played bass with this band for a couple of years in the 1980’s. We did a few gigs in the Golden Fleece, Chelmsford.
